How to I play pre-installed games from Ubuntu and Windows XP(such as freecell) on a machine that runs Kubuntu?

I copied the games onto my portable harddrive and then copied them onto my Kubuntu computer, but how do I play the games. When I double click on the games nothing happens. I have done the same thing before between Windows 2000 and Windows XP and between Windows XP and Mac OSX, so I know I have the right files. I just need to know exactly what to do to open the files so I can play the games. The file types are Executable and Windows Executable.
