Will this amp work for the subwoofers I'm going to get?

I am going to be buying 2 Pioneer Premier Champion subwoofers, the 3500 watt ones. I was told the Pioneer Premier PRS-D2000SPL Cl D 4000 watt monoblock amp would be good to use with them. Can I run 2 subwoofers with this amp, since it's only a one channel amp? Also, if you know of some other amps that will work, can you give me the brand and what have ya? I am thinking of buying 2 ohm subwoofers, cause I was told you can put more power to them and they would sound better. Is this true, or should I buy 4 ohm subwoofers? All help will be greatly appreciated, and thanks.
