My husband just was demoted and had to take a 30,000 a year pay cut or he would have no job. The company was doing this to try and avoid paying unemployment. They were very surprised today when he took the postion (we need the health insurance), at least until he finds something else. Why not make them continue to pick up the $1,000 a month that they pay for our insurance? What has your employer done to try and prevent you from getting unemployment?
