How do i cut my senegal parrots nails?

my senegal parrot is about 1 1/2 years old. he isn't well socialized because i got him when he was about 1 year and my parents friends didn't really care about socializing him with other things and animals so when i get close to him with the clippers he runs away and i cant bring him to the vet because of some personal issues.. can anyone please help me!
