I sold and item on Ebay & wasn't paid. What can I do legally?

The item I sold was shipped immediately and the bidder quit Ebay and didn't pay. This bidder was the winner of the item.Ebay can't do anything since the bidder quit ebay. It was shipped to Georgia and I would like to contact the local newspaper to show this delinquency. Is this legal for me to do this? I've tried contacting the bidder many times with no response. The item was shipped fedex and I paid the shipping.
