I've changed the email for all my groups, but the messages still go to the original email. why?

I had all group emails going to one email address (yahoo) I just changed them all to a non-yahoo email address, which has been verified, but all messages are STILL going to the original (yahoo) email address. I've logged out and signed back in, changes are definitely listed. Why is the mail not going to the new address?
